Founded by a group of misfits that happened to be a mix of SL musicians and fans, we designed our virtual space to be a hangout for musicians to build a community across the grid.

Mission: To help talented live musicians flourish in the virtual world.

At our venues we are not looking to produce just any show; we seek out musicians that are not only talented, but thoughtful. diverse and willing to dig deep into their creative process.  We want to ignite the creative spark of the music community and turn it into an explosive dumpster fire of possibilities. We welcome artists who are willing to make a mess, try new concepts, get experimental, and most of all have fun!

This is just the beginning of our journey as we look to work with musicians, live DJ's, creators, builders, and even fans to create a community focused on collaboration and creativity. We recognize the music community in Second Life as one of the best communities on the grid and want to do our part to help it grow and continue to flourish.

The Team

Our team is an amazing group of volunteers that have dedicated so much of their time and talent towards helping us achieve our mission and vision. These dedicated fans and musicians saw the potential in our concept and we are grateful for all of their efforts

BLUE FOX

Co-founder, Rhythm Directrix

"After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music." - Aldous Huxley

Blue has been in a live music lover her whole life and discovered the Second Life music scene on accident one day stumbling into the Blarney Stone almost a decade ago. She fell in love with the electric vibe of the virtual musical world.

Blue dug deeper into the musical world when she introduced her husband, a live musician who had to quit his day job due to a back injury, to Second Life. Becoming her husbands "default" manager Blue learned everything she could about the music scene. She has been doing her best to promote, support, and provide opportunities for musicians ever since.

Ruby

RUBYCAT

Website Architect

Ruby has always enjoyed music, playing and listening.  Her love of live music in Second Life has slowly grown over the years and has become a passion for her.  She helps co-manage a family member who happens to be a live musician as well learning to make the management process move smoother and easier on all involved.

She has a wide range of genres of music that she enjoys,  and in Second Life the music community seems close to a big family of musicians who are all down to earth, everyday people.   Ruby’s goal is to help make this vision of a much smoother Second Life live music scene grow and flourish for as long as she can.

JACKI B.

Jack of All Trades (Pun Intended)

Jacki Brucato (she/they) is truly a Jacki of all trades (pun absolutely intended). A generator of endless ideas (some brilliant, some bizarre, all entertaining), Jacki brings a spark of creative chaos gremlin to everything she touches. In real life they are an elementary teacher, which explains her flair for storytelling, their boundless patience, and her ability to hype up a room of any size. From sharp data scraping wizardry, to spontaneous hosting duties, to FULL FORCE hype girl energy, they're our go to gal for the miscellaneous tasks that appear out of nowhere. And a hug.

F Marlow

FROGG MARLOWE

UR Music Ambassador, Seasoned Musicophile

Often musicians struggle to describe themselves and their work (so Blue wrote this for me).

Frogg Marlowe is a humble, kind, and sensitive soul. He coined the term "folk-jazz" to describe his very unique sound. He was one of the first musicians to step into the Second Life music scene. You will frequently find him playing with his long time friend Jaycatt as a part of a duo called Effinjay.

Frogg decided to join the United Rhythms team because he is passionate about helping the music scene in Second Life grow and flourish. He believes in the fine folk at United Rhythms, and their dedication to the idea that a rising tide lifts all boats.

Friar Fox

FRIAR FOX

UR Musician Ambassador, Neuro-spicey Bard

Friar Fox is a relatively new musician to second life even though he is not new to music. His eclectic background opera, Motown, and folk music creates a unique show full of raw emotion showing the audience each time he plays his passion for music.

If you have ever heard Friar sing you know that his wife Blue is his muse. Friar is excited to share this new adventure with her even deeper into the Second Life music scene. Beyond that he really loves the music scene in second life and enjoys not only performing, but getting to know other talented performers. He is always quick to lend a hand to someone new to the music world of Second LIfe.

BONNIE BOWENFORD

Co-founder, Bad-ass

Bonnie has loved the SL music community ever since she sneaked into SL from the teen grid a year earlier than allowed. It has been a source of constant entertainment, it’s where she found her tribe of friends and discovered her family (woot Foxes!), and finally met Aly, the love of her life.

Do those who know her best often describe her as feral? Absolutely.  Has she been ejected and banned from some venues? Yeah, more than we’d like to admit. Do some other venues simply tolerate her well-meaning, but often unacceptable, behavior? Luckily, they do. It’s all in an attempt to have fun, and if some people don’t get it, she completely understands!

Now as part of the United Rhythms team Bonnie is going to do her best to give back to the SL music community that has always been so good to her!

UR HQ_001

United Rhythms HQ: musician hangout, main stage, and information hub. Here we hope musicians will come to exchange ideas, collaborate, and just enjoy the company of fellow musicians.

UR HQ_002

Froggs Hop Inn was inspired by the one any only Frogg Marlowe creator of the folk-jazz genre. It is a perfect place for a casual gathering or late night jam sessions. A great place for freaks, geeks, bards, and beatniks- all are welcome. Enjoy some cocktails by the in ground pool and be taken back to summer nights under the stars and buzzing neon. Perfect for solo performers or DJ's.

UR HQ_003

An homage to the lore of the old country Baba Yaga's Twilight Cafe is the place for an intimate show filled with enchantment. This quiet little coffee house/ apothecary is sure to put a spell on you. Grab your favorite elixir and have a seat on the pier to watch the northern lights dance in the sky.

UR HQ_004

... and this one time at band camp... This groovy little camping spot we lovingly call BandCamp packs a big punch. With little corners for couples to hide in and some of the coolest lawn chairs on the grid this venue is built for starry nights and wrapping yourself up in a warm blanket near the campfire.

UR HQ_005

Nestled in Tusk Park is our Fleetwood Mac inspired stage. It is an homage to the magic music brings into our lives. Effortlessly music can reach in to the depths of our souls and pull something out of us we were not expecting. We hear stories about "your music helped me through a hard time," "that song kept me going when I had nothing left," and "your words saved my life." All of these stories are powerful and true.

UR HQ_006

Walk through an unassuming mom-n-pop pot shop and touch the shelves to reveal a secret THC speakeasy.  This space is perfect for those who want to have some edibles, drinks, or just a good old fashioned joint. This venue is perfect for chill vibes and psychedelic funk. The stage sits well above the crowd and was designed to accommodate any musical act from DJ's to a full band.

UR HQ_007

One of our most luxurious spaces the gold highlights and velvet couches will make you feel like you are not nestled into the ground floor of an old factory. This space is perfect for high end intimate events. The Llama de Muse is also our oldest venue and has taken many forms over time. The name is inspired by Friar Fox who calls his wife his muse.

UR HQ_008

Nestled above the Llamada de Muse this is a popular hang out for musicians to gather and enjoy coffee, write songs, and even indulge in a game of poker. The recording studio is excitingly immersive space to gather for recording parties, collaborations, and more!
